Catherine Fitzgerald was born raised and
resides in Melbourne, Victoria. An accomplished self-taught Watercolourist and Oil painter, with
over twenty years experience as a professional artist. She is known for her unique style and use
of colour, which reflects her goal of painting with spontaneous personal expression and not
through the influence of others. On one of her trips to Europe Catherine was captivated with the
Provincial and Tuscan areas, in particular their architecture and lifestyle. Her obsession with
these regions is constantly being revisited through her paintings. Catherine is often asked to
demonstrate and judge at exhibitions and has had her painting method outlined in the Australian
Artist Magazine. She has also held solo and group exhibitions in Melbourne and Sydney. Her works
are held in private and public collections here and internationally.
